(Muahaha. The title above has such a bimbotic colour. I'm so proud of myself. Hahas. :P)

Went fishing at Changi with Rex, Seng and Jimmy ydae night. Didn't want to go initially.. Had intended to study but then strength defied the heart a.k.a. li4 bu4 cong2 xin1 so I decided it'll be better to go out and get some air. And to get my mind off things. (It's always about the same problem. What to do.)

That's Rex.. Going to the lorry to get some stuff.


After realising there's not much fish there (due the piling of the sea bed.. some construction going on there.), Rex & Jimmy shifted to a bridge nearby. Seng, being the stubborn mule he is, stayed at the same place. But he came to join us after quite some time. Haha.

There was a couple at the bridge fishing using a "handline" (<-quote from Rex). It's basically a fishing line tied to the bridge and they erm... Sat there and played board game. (Jimmy said that if they can catch a fish like that when Jimmy and Co. were like trying so hard... then they win already. Hahas.) -_-""

Initially I didn't see the fishing line and I was wondering how come there's 2 weirdos playing board game on the bridge at midnight. Hahas.

Halfway through the night and after 2 false alarms of a plastic bag catch and a pile of strings by Seng, a fish.. Yes I repeat.. A FISH CAUGHT SENG'S BAIT!!!! *aaaahhh!!!*

Seng then shouted that he's got a fish, but the 3 of us (Rex + Jimmy + Me) looked at each other incredously, thinking it should be another plastic bag (affectionately labelled "Sting Ray" by Jimmy).

Rex went to help Seng haul up the catch. While walking over, he said, "Seng, if that's really a fish... The fishing rod is yours."

Muahaha. Yes, it was a fish. A FISH!!! Muahaha!


Seng was very pleased with himself. His 1st catch ever! (Actually he did catch a fish in the past but the fish was only about 10 cm long. So Rex said not counted. Hahas.)

Seng didn't dare to touch the fish at first. (Muahaha.) K.. What happened was Seng shifted the rod to the end of the bridge, and Rex went to the bottom of the bridge to get the fish. Ya. (He suffered a few minor cuts by the way. *ouch* I was gan-donging when I heard Seng call out (in Chinese), "The fish is not important. You are important!!!" Cos the bottom of the bridge had rocks, like those half-eroded rocks placed there to prevent receding shoreline. Ya.

Rex held the fish by the mouth and put it at the end of the bridge for Seng. Seng then walked to the end of the bridge and then walked back and told me, "Honestly, I don't dare to touch the fish. Hahaha." Hee.. Rex taught him how to and then Seng followed Rex and hooked the fish by the mouth and wrapped it in newspaper. He's going to cook it back home I guess. :)

A while later, Seng with his seabass catch went to take photo with Rex's friend who owns a fishing supplies shop. (His picture is going to be put up at the shop, I suppose.) Then his line caught a fish again!! This time JImmy went to haul it up.. and it was a "Proton!" (<- Quote from Rex again. Hahas.) It looked like a catfish to me (refer to the 2 pictures above) but I'm not too sure cos honestly I've never seen a real catfish before. Hahas. But it has 2 whiskers like thingie at the sides of its mouth. This is a very dangerous fish cos it has 3 spikes on it's body (2 at the sides and 1 on it's back) and if it spikes you, you'll be itching very badly. The fish doesn't die easily. You can leave it on land for 2 hrs and it'll sill survive.

Rex cut off the spikes and left it there. They said Malays use it to make fish and chips so just leave it on land for them to pick up. Hahas.
